Our Story

Jacqui_Stephen

Jacqui Stephen is a Southern California native. Her parents and extended family were born in Argentina, where she has been immersed in their culture since she was a child. From speaking Spanish in the home, to traveling to and from Argentina on family excursions, Stephen’s upbringing represented a celebration of life that connected her to her ancestral traditions. After graduating from University of Southern California, Stephen worked in advertising for many years. When life happened and she became a mother, she knew she wanted to develop a brand that celebrated her past and present. Beginning in spring of 2019, Siembra Heritage was founded.

It was the beautiful and intricate craftsmanship of the handmade pieces by artisans in Argentina, along with her love of philanthropy, that inspired Stephen to begin Siembra Heritage and share her mission. In just one year, Stephen expanded from showcasing only a handful of styles created by a few native groups to a successful e-commerce site with an array of handmade pieces from diverse communities around Argentina. Today, Stephen divides her time between Southern California working with her marketing team and in Argentina where she works directly with her sourcing team to buy goods from native villages.

With each Siembra Heritage product, Stephen hopes to continue supporting small businesses, selling small-batch goods and encouraging customers to learn more about the production behind their purchases. Siembra Heritage weaves a history of Argentine craftsmanship with Southern California trends to tell a story behind each good sold.

Stephen adds, “I want to truly see where I can take the Siembra Heritage brand. I want people to know it, but furthermore I want people to know the stories behind the goods. There is so much to tell, and with the opportunities that have come thus far, I believe we are only getting started.”

Welcome to Siembra Heritage… I’m Jacqui Stephen, let me share our journey with you!
